Mindfulness coaching

The speed of modern life and the pressure to do, be and get more can become unbearable. Learning mindfulness with a qualified therapist can give you the breathing space you need, and equip you with a tool box of techniques for developing a more peaceful, accepting and compassionate life.

How mindfulness can help you

Jon Kabat-Zinn, creator of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme, defines Mindfulness as “the awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgementally.”

Mindfulness is a wonderful combination of ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience—with scientific evidence to prove its effectiveness—that can help you experience the joy of the present moment once again.

The techniques you learn in your mindfulness sessions help you respond to the pressures of life, work and health in a calmer and more resourceful way. Practising mindfulness helps you:

  • Develop acceptance and forgiveness—of yourself as well as others
  • Cope better with pain and illness
  • Reduce anxiety and protect against depression
  • Increase your body awareness

These sessions draw on mindfulness techniques and cognitive behavioural therapy.
